ABOUT THE Instructor

Chaplain Jeanne is  a Certified Life Defense Instructor/Trainer. She is a Registered Nurse, and was a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise for 12 years. Additionally, she is an Licenced and Ordained Independent Community Chaplain.  She has taught Community Safety and Women's Personal Safety and Self Defense courses since 2011.  Jeanne was the Founder and Director of a Church Safety Ministry in Wheatridge and Lakewood, Colorado where she developed and led the Safety Team for many years.  She now serves in Safety and Security for her current Fellowship.  She teaches courses for Faith-Based groups as well as public and small group seminars. 

Jeanne credits and honors her beloved parents for her life's path in many ways. Jeanne's father George was in the U.S. Army Air Force Military Police,  and then became a civilian Law Enforcement Officer.  Because of that, she grew up with a personal and community safety mind set from a young age.  She carried that  care and concern throughout her 45 year nursing career.  She spent years in nursing fields spanning obstetrics through senior healthcare, med-surg to detox units, psych wards through prison nursing.  Jeanne's mother Ramona was a church vocalist and pianist, and directly influenced Jeanne's love of vocal and instrumental music.

Jeanne and her husband Gary have been involved in various outreach ministries together since their marriage.  They continue to work as a team in ministry,  praise & worship music, church safety, and Gary also provides unique contributions to  Full Armor Life Defense's community safety and self defense education courses.  Jeanne and Gary are the founders and hosts of EPH613.net, an online intercessory prayer community through Facebook and YouTube.  

Jeanne's professional memberships and associations include: The Safety in Faith Coalition, The American Senior Fitness Association (SFA), and the National Crime Prevention Association (NCPA). Her other certifications include: Full Armor Community CPR & First Aid Instructor and Red Cross Pet CPR & First Aid Instructor, certifications in  American Red Cross CPR, AED, & First Aid, and Stop the Bleed course training.

Jeanne has completed the  A.L.I.C.E. Active Shooter Response Program Training, The NRA "Refuse to Be a Victim" Instructor Course, Full Armor Church Safety Solutions Program, and continues her education to keep current in areas of both Safety for Houses of Worship as well as professional fitness, personal safety & self defense education for "The Rest of Us"! 

Jeanne's focus is on equipping women to not just survive, but to THRIVE...whether in their daily lives, or in an emergency situation. Her passion is teaching others to never give up, and to "Fight Back For Life!"   Jeanne describes her teaching and training style as, "relaxed, compassionate, and informative".   For a sample of her safety training, please see the Educational Videos page.

She is a fit and active senior, and believes in practicing what she preaches. She is the happily married, very proud mother of two adult daughters and a son.  She is also more than a little crazy about her  two granddaughters, and one grandson!  Jeanne's other interests include spending time with her family, camping,  recumbent trike cycling, kayaking, flying her drone, and making artisan soaps. Jeanne has been involved in music most of her life. Her primary instrument is the flute, but also loves to play other various folk and world instruments with Gary & the family, including the Native American Flute and the Shepherd's flute.
